- Where youth baseball and teenage/adult baseball are the same, Coaching Teenage and Adult Baseball has the same information although some is improved compared to the youth book because the teenage/adult book was written in 2011 and the 2nd edition of Youth Baseball Coaching was written in 2007. When I wrote Coaching Teenage and Adult Baseball, I reviewed every word of it and changed things that I will also change in the next edition of Youth Baseball Coaching. In oter words, the information that is the same in both books is a bit improved in the teenage/adult version.
- Coaching Teenage and Adult Baseball contains a significant amount of information about dealing with teenagers and adults that is not in the youth book at all. In general, coaching teenagers on teams other than the elite high school varsity or traveling elite club teams, and coaching non-college or pro team adults is an exercise in cat herding. But cat herding is a skill like anything else and can be done. There are a number of tricks to it.
- Finally, material that only applies to 12-and under baseball has been removed from Coaching Teenage and Adult Baseball. Nonetheless, Coaching Teenage and Adult Baseball is still 14 pages longer than Youth Baseball Coaching.
