My Australian bank has said it is okay to give my readers the contact information there.

Remember that the hour in Sydney, Australia is five hours behind California time and that it is tomorrow there. I think maybe this changes when it is not daylight savings time in the U.S. I now have current time in Sydney and New Zealand widgets on my web browser start page so I can check what time it is before I contact them. For example, you can call at 9 PM on Sunday through Thursday and it will just be 4PM there on a weekday. Call on Friday, however, and it will be the weekend there.

Please have humility that is inversely proportional to the amount of money you are depositing. For example, if it’s four figures, hold your hat in your hand and look down at your feet at all times. But be nice even if it’s seven figures (not counting the ones after the decimal).

I suspect the bank does not need this kind of business, so please act like they are doing you a favor. In today’s climate, they probably are.
